This Rus Spangenhelm with a Horsehair Plume is modeled after a typical Rus nasal helmet. The eastern neighbors of the Vikings wore these or similar variants of this spangenhelm, which was absolutely typical for the Viking Age and was also found in the Arab world and Europe. A special feature are the bronzed decorations in Viking Age style at the lower edge of the helmet. The striking hair plume is made of synthetic hair and perfectly completes the image of the impetuous Rus warrior. The leather inlay is adjustable and has a brass buckle as a fastener. The Rus Spangenhelm with a horsehair plume is perfect for Gotland Vikings and Rus reenactment, but also fits well into the Early Middle Ages, at medieval markets, and in LARP.
