Kievan Rus Trident Earrings in Bronze

This pair of Kyivan Rus Trident earrings was handcrafted from robust bronze. It depicts a so-called Tamga of Saint Vladimir I, found in Smolensk and dating from the excavation layer of 1006 - 1025 AD. The trident represents the symbol of power of the Rurikid dynasty of that era and can be recognized in a similar form in the Tryzub on the state emblem of modern Ukraine.
