This handmade Celtic amulet made of bronze depicts the Celtic god Belenus. Equated with the Roman god Apollo, he was also called Belenos or Belinos by the Romans, and he is the most frequently mentioned and thus best-known Celtic deity in antiquity. For the Celts, Belenus was a god of healing or a spring god, as indicated by findings of dedicatory inscriptions. This depiction of Belenus can also be found exactly on the famous Gundestrup Cauldron where he is depicted. This piece of jewelry is therefore also perfectly suited for Celtic reenactment and fans!
