This handmade Celtic amulet made of bronze depicts the Celtic god Belenus. Equated with the Roman god Apollo, he was also called Belenos or Belinos by the Romans, and he is the most frequently mentioned and thus best-known Celtic deity in antiquity. For the Celts, Belenus was a god of healing or a spring god, as indicated by findings of dedicatory inscriptions.
