The Early Medieval Garment Clasp Double Spiral made of robust bronze is based on the grave find of an Anglo-Saxon hook clasp for garments in the village of Eriswell in England. The original hook clasp for garments was dated to the 6th century. This replica shows clear Celtic influences due to the spirals and suits almost any re-enactor of late antiquity or the early Middle Ages. Garment hooks like this one, made of spirally rolled wire, were widespread on the British Isles among Anglo-Saxons and served as a fastener instead of buttons.
