This Anglo-Saxon handmade pair of Early Medieval Garment Hooks with Cross was crafted from robust bronze and is a detailed replica based on a find in the Viking-occupied part of England. The original find was dated to the Early Middle Ages, 10th century, i.e., the Anglo-Saxon Viking Age. The cross depiction on the hooks also fits this period, demonstrating the increasing Christianization of the Vikings. Garment hooks like these are attached to one end of a piece of clothing, such as leg wraps, with needle and thread, and hooked into the fabric. Garment hooks were widespread in the Early Middle Ages among Rus, Vikings, Slavs, and of course Anglo-Saxons, making these replicas a perfect accessory and gift for Early Medieval reenactment, the medieval market, and LARP.
