This Avaric belt fitting, like its original find from Vrap in modern-day Albania, features oriental palmettes and has been dated to the 7th century, also known as the Merovingian period. The replica of the palmette belt fitting is suitable for straps 1.5 cm wide, as well as leather equipment and horse harness, and can be used at medieval markets, for cosplay, LARP, and early medieval reenactment.
