Our hand-forged Early Medieval Throwing Axe Francisca corresponds to the famous throwing axe of the Franks from the early Middle Ages with the identical name. This throwing axe can be traced back to late Antiquity and was used by Slavs, Franks, Alemanni and Germans until the 7th century. The axe head has a slight sharpness and has been blackened, but left in its rustic condition, which gives it an authentic look.
