This early medieval pendant from the Merovingian period was handcrafted from bronze. The replica of the so-called Cloisonné pendant is based on a find at King's Field in Faversham, England, and got its name from its namesake manufacturing technique. The original piece of jewelry dates to the Anglo-Saxon Merovingian period from 600 - 650 AD and was made of pure gold with glass and garnet inlays. This Anglo-Saxon pendant is now owned by the British Museum in London. Link to the historical original. This piece of jewelry is perfect for Early Medieval reenactment of Franks, Anglo-Saxons or Vikings or LARP.
